We’re just starting out and I’m hopeful now you’re found us, you’ll share your thoughts and ideas!

Being gluten-free takes many shapes and forms and the reason can be choice or for health and medical reasons. Surprisingly living a gluten-free is entirely about food as other products like lip products, foundations, powders can also contain gluten-containing ingredients.

Sharing tips, ideas, tricks and workarounds can help others solve real problems they didn’t know existed. If someone is cutting out gluten through choice, eating gluten will likely cause them no harm. For people avoiding gluten due to medical reasons such as coeliac disease, contact with gluten can have serious consequences.

Understanding this is key to a successful community and everyone’s safety.

Let’s keep to some basic rules to make sure we’re all on the same page:

  1. Be kind - the world is already a complicated place (no-one needs more self-entitled, over-opinionated plonkers - just saying)
  2. When sharing advice (which is highly sought after!) be as accurate as possible and clearly share your assumptions if you are uncertain.
  3. When reading or taking advice on any information posted in the community, make sure you form your own opinion and take the necessary steps to verify the information.
  4. No information in the community should be considered medical advice and any sources should be clearly attached to posts wherever possible.
  5. Always check and verify advice, products, ingredients for yourself as the same product produced in a different factory may have different ingredients. Always read labels, never take chances and if you are ever unsure, do not take action that could be an issue for your own circumstances.
